Tomasz Zieliński
Licensed restructuring and insolvency practitioner in Poland.
Experience
Tomasz Zieliński is a Polish licensed restructuring and insolvency practitioner authorised to act in statutory roles in restructuring and insolvency proceedings under Polish law, with 14 years on the market. Over this time he has acted as bankruptcy trustee, arrangement supervisor, court supervisor and administrator in numerous restructuring and insolvency proceedings, for both businesses and individuals not engaged in business activity.
Approach
Every case begins with a thorough analysis of the facts — no hasty promises, and no recommending a solution before it is justified by the circumstances of the case. Communication is straightforward and clear, including for clients without a legal background.
Where I work
The office is based in Katowice, and most cases are handled across Katowice and the wider Silesia region. Clients from across Poland can also be served, including remotely, and cases and communication can be conducted in English.
Statutory roles
- Bankruptcy trustee (syndyk) — administers the bankrupt's estate and conducts its liquidation under Polish insolvency law.
- Arrangement supervisor (nadzorca układu) — supervises the debtor's self-organised collection of creditor votes in the arrangement approval procedure and reports to the court.
- Court supervisor (nadzorca sądowy) — supervises the debtor's actions where the debtor retains control of its own assets during restructuring proceedings.
- Administrator (zarządca) — takes over management of the debtor's assets in remedial proceedings, where self-management is restricted or withdrawn.
